How One Post Changed Everything: The Day Indy Clinton Shared Stitch Nest

I started Stitch Nest in the thick of new motherhood four months postpartum, running on caffeine, baby wipes, and a bit of blind hope. I had this dream of creating personalised, embroidered pieces that actually meant something. Keepsakes. Announcements. Little love notes stitched into fabric. And I thought… maybe someone else might love that too.

What I didn’t expect was for Indy Clinton yes, the Indy Clinton to place an order. No PR deal. No discounts. No emails back and forth. Just a genuine, organic order from someone who didn’t have to say a word… but did anyway.

And what she said? It changed everything.

She’d purchased our personalised Santa sacks one of our seasonal products I bring out for Christmas each year. She didn’t ask for a discount. She didn’t send a “do you know who I am” message. She just ordered, loved it, and shared it with her followers. Because she wanted to. Because she’s that kind of person.

That one post? It lit a fire under my tiny business. Suddenly I was drowning in orders (and caffeine), trying to keep up while still being a mum to two little ones. But more than that it made me feel seen. It made this big, scary internet feel a little bit smaller and a whole lot kinder.

And this weekend, I finally got to meet her. In real life. And let me tell you she is just as lovely in person. I got to say thank you face-to-face, not through a screen or a tagged post, but from one mum to another. I don’t think she knows just how much that moment meant to me.

Since that quiet act of kindness, Stitch Nest has grown into something real something I’m deeply proud of. I’ve stitched for newborns, birthdays, baby announcements, and even memorial keepsakes. I’ve been able to invest in new machines, expand my offerings, and even donate a portion of sales to causes close to my heart.

So, if you’re here because of Indy, or because a friend sent you my way, or because you stumbled across a name sweater on TikTok thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

And to Indy: you’ll always have a special place stitched into the story of how this little dream became something I could never have imagined. 💛
