Values & Community

Values & Community

Stitch Nest was founded on the principles of family, care, and community — not just in what we create, but in how we run our business.

From the outset, we committed to giving back. Not for appearances, not to boost sales, and not because it was expected — but simply because it felt right.

Quiet Giving, By Design

In our early days, we donated $2 from every purchase to causes that mattered deeply to our family, like Muscular Dystrophy Australia. Over time, this grew into meaningful support — but we made a deliberate choice to stop publicizing it.

Not because the giving stopped being important — but because the act of publicizing it didn’t feel genuine.

We don’t believe that illness, hardship, or charity should be woven into a brand narrative.
Charities aren’t content.
People aren’t marketing tools.

To us, giving back should be done quietly, consistently, and with sincerity — even when no one is watching.

Project-Based Support & Community Initiatives

In addition to our ongoing, quieter commitments, Stitch Nest has backed specific community-led and project-based initiatives where we believe we can truly help.

Over the years, this support has included:

  • Raising approximately $3,000 for Steps for Skye

  • Donating backpacks through community-driven efforts like Tenneco initiatives

  • Continuing fundraising and awareness efforts, including an upcoming cap release supporting a local family facing a stage 4 cancer diagnosis

Each project is thoughtfully created — with clear intentions, specific goals, and a focus on real impact, not visibility.

What We Believe

We believe every business should give back when they can — but how it’s done makes all the difference.

For us, that means:

  • Giving without spotlight

  • Supporting causes because they matter, not because they’re trending

  • Prioritizing integrity over appearances

  • Valuing people over publicity

Stitch Nest exists because of our community. Giving back is part of our duty — even when it happens in the background.

No oversized cheques.
No staged photos.
Just purpose, compassion, and follow-through.
